The Department of Neurology at Amcare Hospital Zirakpur – Chandigarh treat all the neurological diseases including stroke, headache, epilepsy, coma, neuropathies, multiple sclerosis, myopathies, Parkinson’s disease, Myasthenia Gravis and many more. Neurosurgery is a branch of surgery which is involved with the brain, spine and nerves. Our Neurosurgeons treat neurological diseases such as head injury, spinal injury, brain tumors, spinal tumors, brain hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, nerve injuries, tumors, disc prolapse or herniation, spinal dislocation, unstable spine, congenital malformations like atlanto-axial dislocation, spinal dysraphism etc. Treatment of seizures or epilepsy as well as modern treatments for movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease are further specializations.

Pediatric Neurosurgery

For children born with anomalies of the brain, spinal cord, skull deformities and spinal deformities including hydrocephalus, repair of meningo-myeloceles, correction of cranio-synostosis and correction of spinal deformities.

Neuro Radiology

Interventional Neuro Radiology is a Separate department and separate machines are required for this crucial area which includes which includes Neuro-sonogram Trans-cranial Doppler, 24 slice, 64 slice and 320 slice CAT scans, PET CT Scanner, 1.5 Tesla MRI.

Neuro Intensive Care

The neurosurgical department has a state-of-the-art neuro-intensive care unit – with modern ventilators, for adults and children and the latest invasive and non-invasive facilities for monitoring of vital functions.

Vertebroplasty is an image-guided, minimally invasive, nonsurgical therapy used to strengthen the vertebra (spinal bone) weakened by osteoporosis, or cancer. t is usually successful at alleviating the pain.
